Crossroads

The podcast

Crossroads Podcast UK and radio show: people from all walks of life talking openly about what happened to them.

What the show is

Get people talking, openly, about life

Crossroads Podcast UK began during the covid lockdowns, when a lot of people were stuck at home with a lot on their minds. The idea was simple: get people talking, openly and honestly, about life.

Since then guests have come to us from other podcasts and from every walk of life. They talk about mental health, death and grief, rape and sexual assault, family, divorce, marriage and relationship problems. Some stories are hard to hear. All of them are told by the people who lived them.

It is a podcast and a radio show, and it sits beside our online support group, so nobody who tells their story has to deal with what comes next on their own.

About the show

Who comes on the show?

Anyone with a story to tell. Guests have come to us from other podcasts and from all walks of life.

Can I come on if I do not live near Exeter?

Yes. We are based in Exeter, but the show is for everyone, wherever you are. Get in touch and we will talk about how to record your conversation.

Some subjects are difficult. How do I know what an episode covers?

Each episode's page says what it is about, and carries a content note where it covers something that could be upsetting.

Can I read an episode instead of listening?

Where we have a transcript, it is on the episode's page.

Is listening a replacement for counselling?

No. Hearing other people's stories can help a lot, but it is not a substitute for therapy or medical help. Our get help page lists free services you can contact today.

Got a story to tell?

We would like to hear it. Here is how coming on the show works.
